Manga that has been around, but that I have just gotten to (a new segment) – Working!!Working!! c01 – 07 Apparently this 4 koma is getting an anime so I thought I would check it out. The basic premise is the hi-jinx of the employees of a family restaurant. Its been roughly 2 years since the last scanlations came out and after reading what has been released it is easy to see why. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it is terrible, but it isn’t all that interesting (or in this case funny).
 Generic underdeveloped slightly retarded heroine.  Later it turns out that the main character is a lolicon.  The apathetic manager is an entertaining character and probably my favorite of the bunch.  The kindly female character, why she carries around a katana, I don't know.  Probably the character that creates the most interesting parts of the manga is the androphobic girl. To be slightly fair, it did improve considerably when the androphobic girl arrives, but from what I have available there just isn’t much to make me want to continue reading. |
